Picking A Niche In Affiliate Marketing

Picking A Niche In Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

In here we will be Picking A Niche In Affiliate Marketing for Beginners.

You will be discovering how to find that lucrative market. The big idea that really begins as step one of the entire affiliate marketing process.
“Well, as a total beginner, what market should I pick?” What niche should you be choosing? I’m going to show you exactly what I did when I picked my first market.
I first started out in the gaming space in the World of Warcraft market. And what I did was, I started out with what it is that I love doing. Now, at the start of this entire process, that is what I’m going to tell you as well.
Most of the time, there’s a crossroad between two things, either passion or profit. Some people that career and profit are one thing and passion is a totally different thing.
But if we were to try and look at what’s changed in the world today, it’s basically the thing in our pockets right now. And this thing right here has enabled people like you and me. To take what it is that we know. Our knowledge, our passion, our life experience, and everything related. And transform that into a product & a business. The question is, what is the thing that is meaningful for you? Just think about that for a second.
Suppose you were to think about every single market. It doesn’t matter it’s reviewing toys, it is Forex, it is teaching people how to do makeup, or it’s gaming. Well, has somebody made or built a multi-million dollar business around that niche? That’ she first question you have to ask yourself. And the answer would be, yes, 100%.
So the second question to ask what is that person doing that you’re not doing? So that you can model and reverse engineer.
Pick a market that is in line with what you love doing, your hobby, passion, and life experience.
Let’s face it. I know that in many ways, I got lucky picking a niche in affiliate marketing for beginners, The first market that I ever picked was in World of Warcraft, which happened to be something that I loved doing. In this entire journey, there are going to be roadblocks and challenges along the way.
And if you pick something that is not in line with what it is that you love doing. You are going to quit at first sight of the challenge. There’s the big three: health, wealth, and relationships.
World of Warcraft is not really directly in health, wealth, or relationships. It’s going to sound weird. It’s not in health, wealth, and relationships. But the marketing message is related to health, wealth, and relationships.
Which one do you think? Well, it’s one of the three. So you must keep these three in mind while picking a niche in affiliate marketing.
I was marketing my World of Warcraft product. I was promoting somebody else’s product, getting paid commissions in return. The marketing message is that you can level up faster. You can make more wealth, as well as increasing your status amongst your friends. so that you’re seen as the top 1% in the game, social status, which is indirect to relationships.
You want to think about how can we add in or tie in our marketing message into one of these big three things, okay? So that’s the start.
GrooveFunnels is an all-in-one digital marketing platform. If you referred people to that platform, they would pay you a referral fee, up to 40%. So, begin with that first. There’s the initial niche, and then there’s the end product that you want to promote.
The next thing you need to do while picking a niche in affiliate marketing is you need to create a bridge. Once you’ve identified what market you’re in. The next thing you have to do is, you have to be building a list. Because if you’re not making a list, you’re not building a business.
So, how can I build a list? I give away free training, a free template, a free script, a free download, or a free something. People would gladly give me their name and email. And then I want to start creating content to drive people into the page that gathers their name and email. So that eventually I can refer people to that thing.
Let’s say in the travel market. So let’s say, Agoda. So Agoda, Tripadvisor, Boooking.com all have an affiliate program. They will pay you a commission if you refer people that utilize their services.
Now it could be under wealth, which is let me show you how to save money and travel on a budget. It could be- let me show you how you can plan your perfect honeymoon if we want to create content and understand that our end in mind is promoting that service.
Where is our audience hanging out? Facebook, Instagram! Will they search for us and find us on Google? Are they hanging out on YouTube? They’re doing searches or watching related videos in that market?
So let’s make a video. Now it doesn’t need to be a professional one. It could be literally just a selfie-style video, and all I’m going to do is hit Record. I will shoot a video talking about how to plan your honeymoon on a budget. And the top 10 places to go to after the whole coronavirus thing ends.
Now I’m creating content based on what people are searching for, based on what people want. And at the end of that video. I will send people to a page. It reads:
“If you want my ultimate cheat sheet on, “how you can plan your next travel on a budget.”
Now that they are on your list because you sent them here. Send them a follow-up sequence. Here you’re going to continue nurturing that relationship, giving them value.
And once a while in your emails, send them to that service that you are promoting. So it could be you’re giving them tips on how to plan that next backpacking trip.
Now naturally, they need to book their flight, their hotel, and that’s when you come in. And you say, “By the way, so if you’re looking to book your hotel, the site that I normally use is.” And that’s when you insert your affiliate link, and that is when they pay you money.
What if it’s a product? What if it’s a physical product on Amazon? Same deal here, if it’s a physical product on Amazon. So let’s say my passion is in photography or videography, and I want to show people tech.
Now I’m not a tech person, so I’m going to make this up totally. But a common question that you guys are asking me all the time is my studio setup. The truth is, I don’t know what my studio setup is, I don’t know the tech, but let’s say I did.
And let’s say that is my market. So all I would do is shoot a video. I would say, “Hey guys, today I’m going to be taking you behind the scenes to my studio setup. And I’m going to walk you through the different tech that I’m utilizing.”
Guess what happens when I shoot that video? Now I can send people to my page with that PDF. With that checklist of this entire studio. All the different cameras. All the different lighting. And all the other things that people might need to replicate my same studio setup.
And what am I doing? I can follow up with them. I can build a relationship with them. And perhaps tell them, like, “Look, you don’t need to spend that much. And if you are looking to do it on a budget, here’s what you can do instead.” I am helping them get the result that they want. Now I am referring them to the physical product that is sold on Amazon.
So write down that sentence. What is the result that my audience wants to generate? And create content? That genuinely helps them get that result. And how that result can be achieved faster through the services that you are referring over to them.
So that’s exactly what I did to become one of the top affiliates to the software called GrooveFunnels. I do that same thing by building a list first, through my videos, through my emails. I’m always thinking about the people that I’m helping.
Who are the people that are going to require this software that is an easy sell? And that’s another thing you have to be thinking about. It’s not about persuading somebody from a no to yes. It’s about assuming the niche, the market that I want to help. Who are the people that want to buy this anyway! And they might as well buy that thing, that program, that software, the physical product through me. Because they’re going to buy it anyway, and I’m just giving them an extra nudge.
So this would apply for every product out there, whether it’s digital or a digital platform. We have to understand that every single market, health, wealth, or relationships. You’re going to sell supplements, or you’re going to sell cars, there’s an affiliate program for that.
And the way to sell these things really well is to make sure you’re building a list. And you’re building an audience where you’re sending people to that list. You’re nurturing that list so that you can connect it with the thing that you want to promote.
So, I hope you like the discussion above on how beginners will be picking niches in affiliate marketing. Please do not hesitate to ask any question in the comment box below.
